DAY 1- 27 FEB

Photography

Tue, 27 Feb- 10:30am

Number of participants : 1 Theme : Colour of Your Imagination Rules : 1. Both DSLR and phone photography are allowed. Specification of the device and capture mode should be provided with submission. 2. A title must be given to the photograph with a brief of 50 - 100 words as a doc or pdf file. 3. Participants are allowed to submit only one entry which is supposed to be mailed on a given mail id along with the participant’s name and college/university. 4. The photographs taken should be captured during the event. (spectrum ) 5. Size of the photograph should not be more than 2MB 6. A hard copy for the photograph is to be submitted to the jury panel. Size of the hard copy should be 12 X 8 inches 7. Photograph manipulation like copy paste will not be allowed , however color correction and changes in light exposure can be done 8. It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that the photograph must be taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe any copyright of any third party or laws. 9. The participants must be able to clearly justify that the work is completely theirs and they own a copyright of it. 10. The photograph and the brief should not include any watermark or identity proof, if found the entry will be disqualified. 11. The decision taken by the jury will be final.

Videography

Tue, 27 Feb- 10:30am

Number of participants : 2 Theme : Thought of Happiness Rules : 1. Each participant must submit a video on the given topic. 2. The length of the video should not exceed 3 min. 3. The video should be in landscape orientation and shot in the highest possible resolution. 4. The Video must be mailed through SAP club email ID of the participant. Submission time and email ID will be provided at the time of Registration. 5. Plagiarism will result in disqualification. 6. Any intention which prescribe to any kind of offensive statement towards political parties, public figure, caste or religion, gender will lead to disqualification. 7. The video or brief should not include any watermark or identity-proof, if found the entry will be disqualified. 8. Concept of the participant should be clear. 9. Video should be in HD quality 10. The decision taken by the jury will be final.

DAY 2- 28 FEB

Doodling Art

Tue, 28 Feb- 10:00am to 10:30am

Participation: Individual Theme: To be given on the spot Rules: 1. Participants are required to reach at least 10 min prior to the event 2. No registrations will be accepted after the given time limit 3. Participants will be given a theme on the spot for making the doodle art 4. The doodle art will be of A3 size 5. The time limit for completing the doodle art will be 30 minutes 6. Only hand drawn doodles will be accepted 7. Participants are required to give a name to their doodle art 8. Face Painting

Participation: Individual Theme: To be given on the spot Rules: 1. Participants are required to reach with their model at least 10 min prior to the event 2. No registrations will be accepted after the given time limit 3. Participants will be given a theme on the spot for making the face painting 4. The participants are required to bring a model of their own for face painting 5. Participants are also required to bring their own colours only in shades (yellow, green, purple, pink, white, black). 6. The time limit for completing the face painting will be 30 minutes 7. Creative Writing

Solo Singing

No. of participants : 1 Theme: 90’s Bollywood Time limit: 2 MINS + (1 MIN FOR STAGE SETUP) Round: 1 1. Participants can perform any number of songs (in Hindi, English or both) within 2 minutes. After which 10% marks will be deducted after 10 seconds and disqualification may occur after 20 seconds. 2. The song should strictly follow under the given theme. 3. Medley of two or more songs is permitted. 4. Participants can perform with one instrumental accompaniment or with a backing track but the judging will be done solely based on vocal performance. 5. Performers can be disqualified on the spot for misconduct, obscenity, or foul language. Judging will be done solely based on vocal performance. 6. Music is to be submitted at the time of registration to avoid technical glitches. 7. Participants must report at the venue 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the event to avoid penalization. Treasure Hunt

Participation: Team of 4 Rules: 1. Participating teams are required to reach at least 10 min prior to the event 2. No registrations will be accepted after the given time limit 3. Teams will be required to find flags in the area assigned to them 4. The given time to find the flags will be 20 minutes 5. Teams will be required to be present at a given spot in the given time 6. Teams failing to reach in the given time will lead to immediate disqualification 7. Teams having the maximum number of flags will be giving the easiest clue to the final stage 8. Teams are required to preserve all the flags found 9. Any kind of misbehaviour or violation of rules will lead to disqualification

Debate (English)

No. of participants: 1 Language : English Theme : Theme will be provided 30 minutes prior to the event Rules: 1.The event will consist of 1 round. 2. Time duration: 3+1 (rebuttal) minutes. 3. Judges will hold the right to stop any act at whichever point they find it to be violating the rules or general decency. 4. Contestants may use cue cards but cannot carry a complete paper while orating. 5. “For or against” the motion will be decided by the jury/ managing team at registration. 6. Sudoku

Tue, 28 Feb- 2:00pm to 3:00pm

No. of participants : 1 No. of rounds : 2 Rules : 1.In the first round, all the participants will be given 3 puzzles each and there will be a volunteer recording the timing for each participant. 2. Each participant has to solve all 3 puzzles in the minimum time possible. 3. The timer will stop when the participants keep the puzzles back on the table. 4. Any mistake will add +1 second to the final time. 5. Based on the timings, top 5 participants will qualify for the final round. 6. The same procedure will be followed in the final round. 7. In case of a tie, the participant with lesser mistakes will be given the priority. 8. If the number of mistakes is the same for two or more participants, then there will be another round of 1 puzzle between them to finally come up with one winner. 9. Last round will consist of 1 puzzle, 15 mins will be given to solve it. 10. Any kind of cheating would lead to disqualification. 11. The participants will be asked to sit in a classroom during the event and are supposed to come without their mobile phones.

Badminton

Tue, 28 Feb- 10:00am onwards

Number of Participants: 2 (1 Boy and 1 Girl) Category : Mix Doubles Rules : 1.All matches are best of 3 sets of 11 points each. 2. Rackets need to be brought by the participant. Shuttlecock will be provided. 3. Semi-finals and finals will be best of 3 sets of 11 rally points each. 4. In case of Deuce 21 will be golden point (11 points match), after every set, 2 minutes will be allotted as break time. 5. A serve is delivered diagonally across the courts. During service, both the server and receiver must stand at diagonally opposite sides without touching the boundary lines of the badminton courts. 6. Players/teams will switch sides on the court at the end of every game. 7. Serving while foot touching any line on the court of the server will be considered foul. 8. Service has to be done below waist level; the opponent gets the point. 9. At the beginning of the game and when the score is even, the server serves from the right service court. When it is odd, the server serves from the left court.

Chess

Number of Particpants : 1 Rules : Maximum of 20 mins per game (each player 10 minutes). 2. Host centre will provide Chess Clock, Chess Board, Chess pieces. 3. Duration between each move will be 30 seconds. 4. Maximum of 3 illegal moves will be allowed. 5. 50 moves will be allowed if King is the last chess piece left from the board. 6. If the match ends up in a tie, then piece count will declare the winner. 7. Each player will play against the other. 8. The top 2 players will play against each other for Gold and Silver positions. 9. The third place player will be given a Bronze Medal. 10. Touch and move rules will be followed. 11. If the match ends up in a tie, then the piece count will declare the winner. 12. All other rules are as per FIDE ( World Chess Federation). 13. The decision of the referee will be final.

Antakshari

No. of group : 1 No. of participants in each group: 2 No. of rounds: 4 Rules: Round 1: “Shabd jaal” Time limit: 60 SECONDS One word would be given to each team and that team would have to sing the first two lines of songs, having the given word. The given word must come in the first four lines. For example if the word is “deewana”, the team can sing the following songs‐ 1. dewwana le ker aaya hai……………………………. 2. deewana mujhsa nahi……………………………… 3. tere name ka deewana …………………………… The team would have to sing as many such songs as possible in one minute’s time. The songs must be sung in their original speed not faster. If the first two lines are not sung completely, then no marks would be given. Different words would be given to each team. There would be two rounds for each team. Marking: One mark for each right song. No minus marking in this round.

Rap Battle

No. of participants : 1 Topic: Growing up Round:1 Time limit: 3 MINS + (1 MIN FOR STAGE SETUP) Rules: 1) Backing tracks are allowed. 2) Any sort of racist, sexist or offensive slurs will lead to immediate disqualification. 3) The language of rap can be English and/or Hindi. 4) Participants must report at the venue 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the event to avoid penalization. Judging Criteria: 1) Rhythm, Voice quality and clarity, Delivery (word-play, rhetorical devices, sarcasm, puns, double entendres, witticism). 2) Overall impact of the performance (body language, attitude, etc.).

DAY 3- 01 mar

Cooking Show

Wed, 01 Mar- 10:30am onwards

Participation: Pair of 2 Rules: 1. Participating pairs are required to reach at least 10 min prior to the event 2. No registrations will be accepted after the given time limit 3. Participants are required make a dish without heat or fire 4. Participants will be given a fixed set of ingredients to prepare a dish 5. Participants are required to use at least one Nestle product for preparing the dish 6. Participants can bring any other special ingredient/s needed for the dish on their own 7. Only vegetarian dishes will be allowed 8. The time limit for preparing the dishes 45 minutes 9. Participants are required to creatively plate the dish prepared and give it a name 10. Participating pairs are required to maintain necessary hygiene standards 11. Any kind of plagiarism or use of mobile phones for reference will lead to disqualification. Judging Criteria: (10 marks each) 1. Taste of the dish prepared 2. Creativity in the plating 3. Uniqueness of the dish 4. Cleanliness of the cooking station

Carrom (Doubles)

Wed, 01 Mar- 10:30am onwards

Number of Participants : 2 Category : Doubles Rules : 1. The game will be of rounds. 2. 22 Thumping / Back-Stroke is not allowed. 3. Red coins will be worth 3 points and Black / White coins will be worth 1 point. 4. For minus stroke, a penalty will be 1 coin. 5. The player who achieves 18 points first will be declared the winner, and if none of the players can reach 18 points within 4 rounds then the player with a maximum number of points will be declared as the winner at the end of the 4th round. League based tournaments will be played. 6. The top 2 Teams will play against each other for Gold and Silver positions. 7. The third place team will be given a Bronze Medal. 8. The player who breaks attains white. 9. If the player touches the opponent’s coin before his/her own, a penalty of one coin will be allotted to the opponent. 10. After pocketing the red coin, the player must cover it with one more of his/ her coin. 11. All other rules are as per ICF (International Carom Federation). AD MAD

The time limit to perform the advertisement will be minimum 2 and maximum 3 minutes. 2. The participants will be asked to sit in a classroom while they prepare the act, and are supposed to come without their mobile phones. 3. The Advertisement should be presented in the form of a jingle, act or a song to sell the particular product. 4. The deliverable expected would be an advertisement of any form to sell the particular product live in front of the jury. 5. Plagiarism and use of offensive language will lead to disqualification. Quiz

No. of participants : Team of 2 Language : English Rules: 1. The quiz will be conducted in 2 rounds. 2. Round 1 theme is, “Fashion of Bollywood and Hollywood”, it will be a short answer type quiz. Top 8 teams will proceed to round 2. 3. Round 2 will be a rapid fire round, where each team can select 1 category out of the categories presented. (Categories revealed at day 1) 4. The participants will be asked to sit in a classroom during the event, and are supposed to come without their mobile phones. 5. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited. 6. Prompting from the audience will lead to disqualification.

Number of Participants: 2 (1 Boy and 1 Girl) Category: Mix Doubles Rules: 1. All matches for mixed doubles are best of 3 sets of 11 points each. 2. In case of Deuce in the deciding set a difference of 2 points should be scored compulsorily to win the match. 3. The ball must rest on an open hand palm. Then it must be tossed up at least 6 inches and struck so the ball first bounces on the server’s side and then the opponent’s side. 4. If the serve is legal except that it touches the net, it is called a let serve. Let serves are not scored and are reserved. 5. Further rules will be based on IITF (International Table Tennis Federation). 6. The decision of the referee will be final.

Live music is not allowed. b) Exceeding the time limits will lead to marks deduction c) Any combination of two people irrespective of gender is allowed. d) 20% marks will be deducted if the performance exceeds by 10 sec. If the performance increases further by 20 seconds, it will lead to disqualification. e) In case of malfunctioning of any equipment provided, the team will be allowed to repeat their performance from the beginning or from the point of disruption that the team wishes, with the consent of the judge. f) Accessories, costumes and props will have to be arranged by the participants. g) Performance / Choreography must be based on the given theme. h) Participants must report at the venue 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the event to avoid penalization. Judging criteria: a) Choreography- 35% b) Justification with given emotion c) Attitude- 20% Stage Utilization- 15% d) Crowd Response- 10%

Group Dance

No. of group participants : 1 No. of rounds: 1 Time limit: 4 mins + (1 min for stage set up) Rules: a) The teams should carry an official letter from their respective institutes signed by the competent authority, mentioning the names of the participants. b) The team must have a minimum of 6 active members and a maximum of 8 members in a group. c) Participants should get their songs/music on a pen drive. Live music is not allowed. d) The time limit of the performance will be 4+1 minutes (4 minutes for performance and an additional 1 minute to set up and clear the stage). e) Marks shall be deducted for exceeding the time limit [10% deducted for exceeding 1 minutes and the team might be disqualified for exceeding 2 minutes based on the judges' discretion. f) In case of malfunctioning of any equipment provided, the team will be allowed to repeat their performance from the beginning or from the point of disruption that the team wishes, with the consent of the judges. g) Accessories, costumes and props will have to be arranged by the participants.
